This paper proposes a comparison between Karl Marx’s and Max Weber’s positions, with particular focus on the latter. The welding joint between the two reflections is identified in the interpretation of the processes of capitalist rationalization, these being commensurated with the termsof the “reform” as a figure of modernity.
